BEN ALLISON bio
Ben Allison is a “visionary composer, adventurous
improviser, and strong organizational force on the New
York City jazz scene, [and] has emerged as a rising star
over the past decade” (JazzTimes).
Recensioni e menzioni come miglior album dell’anno sono costantemente riportate da: ’The new york Times’, ‘The Boston Globe’, The Villane Voice, Jazz Times, Jazz Journalist Association, Downbeat Critics Poll, All About Jazz, Coda (canada), and Jazz Review (Uk) e altri.
Come membro del Jcc Ben ha ricevuto fondi e sovvenzioni per l’attività concertistica e di registrazione dalla Chamber Music America, the Mary Flager Cary Charitable Trust, the National Endowment for the Arts, The Aaron Copland Foundation, Meet the Composer, The American Composers Forum.
